| They don't call it the Star Room for nothing.
There has been more celebrity sightings at
this Wainscott hot spot than we could count.
Saturday night club goers party like rockstars.
Think, P. Diddy, white parties and champagne
flowing endlessly, we're talking about the
Hamptons as it's known to be THE place for
hot summer fun. Julissa Bermudez of BET's
The Center, Larry Johnson of the Kansas City
Chiefs, and Rene Fris, host of Bravo's Sheer
Genius, along with Tyson and Billy kept the
crowd dancing all night while Serena Bass
served tasty dishes giving the crowd sus-
tained energy.
The Star Room has had a total makeover,
adding a kitchen for onsite dining at any
hour.
On an average weekend in the Hamptons
you're likely to hear about some serious star
and starlet shenanigans at this Wainscott
restaurant and club. With PR goddess and
notoriously bad driver Lizzie Grubman roping
in the stars, you can expect to rub glamorous
shoulders with the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow
and Adrian Brody while sampling the un-
focused but expensive menu. Mussels in
lemongrass-ginger broth bump and grind
with tomato-goat cheese lasagna, while
striped bass hangs out in the V.I.P. room with
fava beans, white asparagus and sweet garlic
dumplings. |
You can't eat any of this stuff on the Hamp-
tons diet, anyway, but for cheaters, the cho-
colate-mocha brioche bread pudding with
raspberry-mint sauce beckons. A very strict
door policy means reservations are a must
at the very least. If you've got your heart set
on getting in, it's best to get your name on
a guest list and bring lots of cash in large
bills. Hollywood swingers Adrien Grenier
and Kevin Connolly always make a stop
with their own entourage. We hear Howard
Stern, who generally avoids the nightlife
scene, has developed a soft-spot for the Star
Room, and frequents the space on a regular
basis with his girlfriend, model Beth Ostrosky.
Other celebrity notables include Heather
Graham, Russell Simmons, Kimora Lee
Simmons, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen,
Britney Gastineau, Wilmer Valderrama,
Michelle Rodriguez, and Carmen Electra
among others. For two years running, Star
Room has packed in more A-listers than an
Oscars after-party, The scene is still a scene
Table reservations suggested!
